Over 16 million Syrians, half of whom are children, require urgent humanitarian assistance. Many children face malnutrition, inadequate healthcare, and disrupted education systems due to targeted attacks on schools and medical facilities​

Children in Syria bear the brunt of this crisis. Many have known nothing but war, with their entire lives shaped by conflict, displacement, and deprivation. Malnutrition affects over 650,000 children under five, while psychosocial distress impacts nearly one-third of children in affected areas. Additionally, many are exposed to recruitment by armed groups, forced labor, or even trafficked to other conflict zones​

Education and Healthcare Under Threat

The crisis has left 2.4 million school-aged children out of school, with many facilities destroyed or rendered unsafe. Healthcare access remains limited, particularly in camps and conflict zones, as targeted attacks and resource shortages further strain an already fragile system​

Organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children are striving to provide essential services, including mental health support, education, and nutrition. However, funding shortfalls and access restrictions hinder these efforts. A collective global response is crucial to address these challenges and offer Syrian children a chance at a stable future​
